DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN THE CITY OF ARTS & ARCHITECTURE- KATHMANDU [1400m] Welcoming the guests is our passion | 29.9oC/3.2oC* |
Embarking on our journey begins from Kathmandu, the city with the remarkable architecture dated back to 16th Century. Our team representative will welcome you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. Our representative will help you to check in to the hotel. You will be welcomed, facilitated and served with a beautiful hotel room. The first arrival day is entirely a break day. In the evening, you can walk around nearby touristic hubs like Thamel and Basantapur Durbar square. Overnight in Kathmandu.
DAY 02: SIGHTSEEING IN KATHMANDU | The city of arts and architecture| 29.9oC/3.2oC* |
Kathmandu Valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal with a rich artistic and cultural heritage. Kathmandu has been one of the popular destinations for international tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers a wonderful mix of Hinduism and Buddhism. Right after having breakfast we are off to visit one of the greatest Hindu temple- Pashupatinath, two famous Buddhist Temples- the Boudhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa. Overnight in Kathmandu.
DAY 03: TOUR OF PATAN AND KIRTIPUR | We enter a square lined with cafes, grocery stores and huge iron bells | 29.9oC/3.2oC* |
Following breakfast we visit and discover Patan, City of Fine Arts. Patan Durbar Square and as we walk past the whitewashed gate, we enter a square lined with cafes, grocery stores and huge iron bells. Still beyond the alleys lie mostly medieval neighborhoods of the city. Temples and Stupas are in abundance, in various shapes, sizes and antiquity. After having a tour of a city of art and craft, surely we will be going back to have seen so much of medieval art and architecture that really flourished during the Malla reign. We drive to Kirtipur and discover off the beaten Newari town located on a hill southwest of Kathmandu. Here we can discover the traditional lifestyle of the local Newari of Kirtipur along with the rich cultural heritage it boasts. We drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
DAY 04: DRIVE TO NUWAKOT | From where King Prithivi Narayan Shah conquered Kathmandu | 3-4hrs |
Early morning after having our breakfast, we hop into your vehicle and drive off to Nuwakot, another hilltop town that is getting popular as a tourist destination. Here we can stay at a community lodge where we can feel like local. We can visit the durbar (palace) in Nuwakot which is a seven storey fort; this is from where King Prithivi Narayan Shah conquered Kathmandu. From here we can also have a spectacular view of the valley below and also the breathtaking mountains. We explore the surroundings and mingle with the friendly locals and experience their warm hospitality. Overnight in Nuwakot.
DAY 05: DRIVE TO GORKHA [1001m] Views of rivers, terrace fields and captivating view of the countryside | 5-6hrs |
Following breakfast, our adventure begins with a scenic drive to Gorkha offering views of rivers, terrace fields and captivating view of the countryside. Once we reach Gorkha we can explore the surroundings and visit the famous Gorkha Palace (Durbar) built in a Newari style. There is another worth visiting places like as Old Gorkha Bazar that exhibits many historic monuments; RatnaMandir, Bhimsen temple, Tallo durbar built in 1835. Overnight in Gorkha.
DAY 06: DRIVE TO BANDIPUR [1030m] Picturesque town nestled in the Himalayan foothills | 1-2hrs |
After having our breakfast we drive to Bandipur via Dumre Passing the Trisuli River. Bandipur is a picturesque town nestled in the Himalayan foothills of Nepal, a land as famous for its natural beauty as for the hospitality of its people. Bandipur captivates the visitor with its cultural appeal and pristine scenery. This Newari town has maintained its age-old flavor, and presents sightseers with a heady mix of history, architecture, incredible views, awesome caves and unspoiled landscapes. The worth visit to the town is an opportunity to get a close look at Newari culture. Overnight in Bandipur.
DAY 07: BANDIPUR TOUR | Through tribal villages, verdant forests, ‘power places’, and hilltop shrines |
We enjoy a day of free time to further explore Bandipur. The surrounding hills are ideal for hiking along trails that will take us through tribal villages, verdant forests, ‘power places’, and hilltop shrines that once doubled as fortresses. As we explore the area we may feel as though we’re stepping back in time; though development increases, the aura of this place has been beautifully preserved. As tourism in Nepal developed along the main roads and airports, for over 30 years there simply was no road linking Bandipur to the main infrastructure, leaving it almost untouched by touristic influence. The village is saddled on a high ridge above Dumre, 700 metres beyond the Marsyangdi River Valley, making for an exceptional view of the Himalayan panorama. Overnight in Bandipur.
DAY 08: DRIVE FROM BANDIPUR TO POKHARA [900m] Incredible views of rivers, terrace fields and captivating view of the Annapurna range | 31.8oC/7.8oC* | 2 hrs |
Following breakfast, our adventure begins with a scenic drive to Pokhara offering views of rivers, terrace fields and captivating view of the Annapurna range as you near the city- scenic lake city. Moreover, there are lots of other interesting attractions like Devi’s Waterfall, Tibetan Refugee Settlement, Gupteshwor Cave, International Mountain Museum and Bindabasini. Overnight in Pokhara.
DAY 09: POKHARA SIGHTSEEING [900m] AND SARANGKOT SUNRISE | The city is dotted with placid lakes and the view of the Phewa Lake with the serene Fishtail Mountain in the backdrop | | 31.8oC/7.8oC* |
A short drive before the crack of dawn, takes us to Sarangkot to witness the most amazing sunrise. We can paraglide in Sarangkot as the option is available on request. Nothing is better to start the day with a well-deserved breakfast at the hotel. The City of Lakes -Pokhara is a natural charmer. The city is dotted with placid lakes, and we are sure that the view of the Phewa Lake with the serene Fishtail Mountain in the backdrop will surely inspire the photographer in us.
Various fun-filled activities will keep us entertained throughout the day. We can try boating, bird watching, kayaking, swimming, canoeing as they are all amusing. We can also walk around and meet the locals for they are warm and friendly. Jump in one of the colorful boats and paddle up to seek blessings from the Varahi temple in the middle of the lake.
The Davis falls, or “Patale Changgo” in Nepali is actually an underground waterfall. The water flows under the ground through its natural tunnel of 500 feet from the fall made by the water currents beneath the land. More photos for Facebook!
Seti Gandaki Gorge standing atop the Mahendra Pul (Pul: Bridge). Flowing right through the city, the river runs completely underground at places. Bindabasini Temple which is dedicated to goddess Durga- the deity of supreme power, right in the center of the bazaar. The 16th century architecture is sure to delight us. NichidatsuFujii a Japanese Buddhist monk laid the foundation of World Peace Pagoda or “Shanti Stupa” located atop a hill. Look into our inner self and, we will find peace as the view of Annapurna range in the background simply takes our breath away. A wholesome authentic Nepalese cuisine is a good way to end the day. We recommend the Thakali dinner prepared with love by local ethnic mothers. There’s lot more to do in Pokhara, just stride down to the Lakeside area in the evening. Overnight in Pokhara.
DAY 10: DRIVE TO CHITWAN [100m] Offers one of Asia’s best wildlife-viewing spots | 36.4oC/9.7oC* | 5hrs |
We get ready to bring out the adventurer in ourselves! As we bid farewell to Pokhara covering 180 km, we are up for some extreme wildlife adventure in Chitwan. Set right in the heart of Nepal down in the humid plains, Chitwan offers one of Asia’s best wildlife-viewing spots. These subtropical plains hide an array of wildlife worthy of The Jungle Book. We can find them all here in Chitwan National Park which is enlisted in World Heritage Sites. Once we arrive and settle down, penetrate deep into the jungle and get closer to the wild as we comb the jungles for rhinos and tigers from the backs of lumbering elephants. And if luck favors, we might just capture the famous one-horned rhino or the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger in our camera while on one of these elephant rides. Overnight in Chitwan.
DAY 11: JUNGLE SAFARI IN CHITWAN | Canoeing on the calm waters of Rapti River is the best way to spot water birds, crocodiles and alligators |
There’s a plenty to keep us busy here, from joining the elephants at bath time to visiting local Tharu villages, and the brave can even take a guided walk through the jungle, surrounded by the hoots and roars of the forest. Nature buffs from around the world come here for safari to scan the treetops for exotic bird species and scour the jungles for rhinos and tigers. Canoeing on the calm waters of Rapti River is the best way to spot water birds, crocodiles and alligators. A lunch break inside the park will provide us with a sweet respite from our saunter. Before we call it a day, visit the gharial breeding project and see both gharial and marsh mugger crocodiles up close. The program has been commendable in protecting these endangered species and releasing them back into the wild. Overnight in Chitwan.
DAY 12: DRIVE TO KATHMANDU [1400m] Beautiful Trishuli River coming from the mountains, hilly landscapes, primitive shops and villages | 29.9oC/3.2oC* | 4-5hrs |
The day sees us traveling back to Kathmandu with the 200 km drive to reach Kathmandu on a winding highway. En route we can witness beautiful Trishuli River coming from the mountains, hilly landscapes, primitive shops and villages. From Kathmandu there is a half-hour drive taking us to Nagarkot the premiere hill station on the Kathmandu Valley rim; here we can whiff a breath of fresh mountain air and view the rolling hills on the eastern rim of Kathmandu valley. Kick back and relax, beat the mountain chill with some wine. Overnight in Nagarkot.
DAY 13: FINAL DEPARTURE | To know how satisfied our guests are measured not only by how tight the goodbye hugs are but by staying in touch with us forever |
This is the last day of your visit. You can enjoy shopping and buying souvenir to friends and relatives. We will drop you to the airport 3 hrs prior to the departure time. The memories that you have shared with us matter a lot. Waving hands and goodbye hugs are just not enough, we tell our beloved guests to stay in touch with us. This is the way how we feel satisfied by our services.
