AUSTRALIAN CAMP HIKING
The Australian Camp is situated at an altitude of 1,900 meters north of Pokhara city which is a famous viewpoint to enjoy the view of Himalayan ranges including Pokhara valley, Green hills, and lakes. Dhampus village is situated at an altitude of 1,750 meters northwest of Pokhara Valley and is a famous beautiful ethnic Gurung village of brave soldier, Gorkha. The village offers scenic panoramic views of Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Annapurna, Mt Fishtail, Mt Himchuli, Lamjung Himal, and many other mountains with views of green hills, valleys, etc.
Almost 25% of the tourists, who come to Nepal visit Dhampus and leave many fond memories of the village and its friendly people. Dhampus is also a gateway to the Annapurna Conservation Area. It serves as one of the main entry points to the Annapurna Base Camp and other trekking trails of the Annapurna Region. The trip starts from our hotel by surface driving to Kande which is 20 Km away and 1 hour of drive. From the Kande, we accent upward through forest, and village for 1 hour hike to the Australian camp.
Lunch will be served enjoying the beautiful sceneries; and mountain views & drive back to Pokhara by 4-wheel drive vehicle.
