DAY 01: ARRIVE KATHMANDU &TRANSFER TO HOTEL Dinner Only
Arrive Kathmandu ,meet welcome and transfer to hotel on the first day of Mount Kailash Tour. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 02: PREPARATION & PILGRIMAGE SIGHTSEEING B/L/D
Breakfast leave for Pilgrimage sightseeing tour to Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa and Budhanilakanth temple. Return to hotel, lunch, briefing about the Yatra and necessary preparation. Overnight stay at hotel on the second day of the Mount Kailash Tour.

DAY 03: FLY TO LHASA FREE DAY IN LHASA B/L/D
On the third day of the Mount Kailash Tour we will transfer to International airport for flight to Lhasa. Arrive Lhasa( 3600 meter), meet, assist and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free to acclimatize with the environment. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 04: LHASA CITY SIGHTSEEING B /L/D
After breakfast leave for full day city sightseeing tour to Magnificent Potala Palace on the fourth day of the Mount Kailash Tour ( From Outside only) -the winter palace of the Dalai Lama; the place where the former great Dalai Lama’s stupas are being kept; once the seat of the Tibetan government.

With a history of over 1,300 years, the Potala Palace is the treasure of Tibetan religion and culture, storing plenty of figures of the Buddha, murals, sutras etc. After visiting Potala Palace, you will visit one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa- the Sera Monastery, and the Dalai Lama’s summer palace of the treasure Park of Tibet, the Norbulingka. Return to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 05: DRIVE TO SHIGATSE B /L/D
After breakfast, drive to Shigatse( 3,836, 290 kms, 6/7 hours’ drive). En-route enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the mountain landscape .Finally arrive Shigatse and check into hotel. After get refreshed proceed to visit Palkor Monastery and Tashilhunpo Monastery. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight in the fifth day of the Mount Kailash Tour.

DAY 06: DRIVE TO SAGA B /L/D
Breakfast and drive to Saga( 4,640 meter , 460 Km). En-route enjoy the beautiful view of Mt.Shishapama, beautiful Tibeten landscaper Finally arrive Saga and check into hotel.

DAY 07: DRIVE TO MANSAROVAR B /L/D
After breakfast, drive to Mansarovar ( 4,556 Meter, 435 km). En- route witness Sand dunes & different type of Tibeten landscape. Finally arrive Mansarovar lake and enjoy the eye catching view of Holy Mount Kailash , Holy Mt GurlaMandhata and Mansarovar Lake. Overnight stay at lodge.

DAY 08: DRIVE TO DARCHEN B /L/D
Morning hour spend time at Mansarovar, afternoon , drive to Darchen( 4,664meter, 30 Km, 1 hours drive). Arrive Darchen and busy on the preparation of Mount Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 09: DRIVE TO SERSONG & HOLY TREK TO DIRAPUK B /L/D
During our ninth day of the Mount Kailash Tour,  we will take breakfast and drive to Tarboch Flag Pole, the first prostration point, -the auspicious gateway and the sky burial ground. Visit Yamadwar and further drive to Sershong (total 8 km) and trek to Dirapuk (4,765 m, 10 km, 3 to 4 hours trek). Overnight stay at guesthouse.

DAY 10: HOLY TREK TO ZUTHULPUK B /L/D
Continue trekking of challenging cross the Dikpala (5,000m) and Dormala (5,600m) to Zuthulpuk (4,700 m) (22km/ 7 to 8 hours trek). Overnight stay at Lodge.

DAY 11: HOLY TREK TO DARCHEN & DRIVE TO SAGA B /L/D
Last and final day of Mount Kailash Parikrama ends near Darchen (16 km/ 3 to 4 hrs trek). En-route can enjoy the view of Thuktso lake. Arrive near Darchen & drive to Saga (435 Km, 8 hours’ drive). Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 12: DRIVE FROM SAGA TO SHIGATSE OR DRIVE TO KYRUNG B /L/D
Drive from Saga to Shiigantse ( 460 Kms, 8 /9 hours drive) . Arrive Shigatse and check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel and end 12th day of Mount Kailash Tour.

DAY 13: DRIVE TO LHASA OR DRIVE TO BORDER & KATHMANDU B /L/D
Drive to Lhasa (3,600 meter, 290 km, 5/6 hours drive). Arrive Lhasa and check into hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore your own. Overnight stay at hotel. OR drive to Nepal – China border, complete immigration formalities and drive to Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu and check into hotel.

DAY 14: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT FOR FLIGHT TO KATHMANDU OR HOLY WATER OFFERING AT PASHUPATINATH AND FREE DAY B /L /D
Breakfast and transfer to Lhasa airport for flight to Kathmandu. Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free for personal activities. Evening holy water offering and witness Arati Puja at Pashupatinath temple. Overnight stay at hotel. OR Holy water offering at Pashupatinath temple and free day for personal activities. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 15: FINAL DEPARTURE TRANSFER B
It’s the last day of our Mount Kailash Tour. Breakfast and free time until transferred to International airport for onwards flight.

Health Pre-caution:

• Oxygen is less at higher altitudes. The inclement weather and high altitude induce certain illnesses generally not encountered over the plains.
• Headache, nausea, lassitude, lethargy, breathlessness, general uneasiness (malaise), high irritability, light loss of balance, disorientation, incoherence, and insomnia are to name a few.
• It is common to all irrespective of age, sex, and physical fitness. Gradual acclimatization is the best answer.
• Tranquilizers, sleeping dosages, and strong antibiotics must be avoided. Some symptoms do indicate that the body mechanism is readjusting to a new environment.

Route & climatic conditions:

• Once the voyage commences, the panoramic Himalayas and Tibet cocoon the pilgrims in their effulgence and they drift beyond the reach of a conventional world.
• Deep silence and eerie expansiveness rule the atmosphere. A resourceful pilgrim, however, would enjoy his every step – planning is the key.
• The route from Kathmandu to Tatopani/ Rasuwagadi (Timure) (Nepal-China border) is narrow and scary but from the border onward roads are well maintained.
• The high-altitude Tibetan terrain is dry, cold, and windy. The night is colder than day. Torrential rains and strong icy winds are common features.
• The average altitude is above 3,500 meters and the route covers many high-altitude passes.

Risk and Liabilities

• We will endeavor to make your journey smooth and pleasant as far as possible. However, the entire program in Tibet is conducted strictly under the rules and regulations of the China Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB).
• Therefore, Fishtail Tours & Travel (P) Ltd. & its associated organizations will not be responsible for any changes in the itineraries due to unavoidable circumstances such as government restrictions, and delays in receiving Tibet Travel Permits and Visas due to TTB’s own rules and regulations.
• Any extra cost incurred shall be borne by travelers themselves.

Required Documents:

• Passport with a minimum of six months validity and two copies of passport-size photographs.
• A normal health certificate from your doctor for travelers aged 50 years and above may be required.
• Fitness: This is not a trek or expedition but a tour; therefore no specific level of fitness is required. Anybody can join this Yatra if they think they are fit and have strong willpower.
• People suffering from cardiac or respiratory problems should consult their doctor.
• Morning and evening walks, jogging, stretching, meditation, and regular exercises make the journey comfortable for all.

Food and Beverages:

• Delicious continental & Indian food will be served.
• Breakfasts and Dinners will be served at the campsite by trained Nepali staff.
• A packed lunch will be provided during the daytime.
• We will serve mineral water for drinking purposes.

Clothing and Necessities:

• As the temperature varies greatly between day and night (from max. 20 degrees Celsius to min. –16 degrees Celsius) one should prepare accordingly.
• However, we suggest all yatris travel lights – carry a maximum of 10 to 15 Kg per person.

Travelers should bring the following items

• Woolen gloves, Balaclava, Sun hat, Thermal wear, Water bottle, Woolen socks, Towel,
• Light Jacket, Sunglasses, Sunscreen,
• Torch with extra batteries/bulbs
• Muffler, Mask, Raincoat, Sweater, Shirt/T-shirt (2 sets) & Trekking shoes.

Insurance

• Full travel insurance covering medicine,
• Helicopter evacuation (if in case of emergency),
