DAY 02: FULL DAY BEIJING SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day sightseeing in Beijing, including the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, and Houhai. Optional: Hutong tour and Kongfu show (extra cost). Dinner at a Chinese/Indian specialty restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 03: BEIJING SIGHTSEEING TOUR
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Great Wall, Juyong Pass, Bird’s Nest, and Yaxiu market. Optional: Acrobatic Show (extra cost). Dinner at a Chinese/Indian specialty restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 04: HIGH-SPEED TRAIN TO SHANGHAI & SHANGHAI SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast, then travel by high-speed train to Shanghai. Visit the Shanghai Museum, People Square, Nanjing Road, Yuyuan Garden, and Yu Market. Optional: Madame Tussauds or Xintiandi Evening Visit (extra cost). Dinner at a Chinese/Indian specialty restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 05: SHANGHAI SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Jade Buddha Temple, Taobao City, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower (if time permits). Train/flight journey to Xian. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 06: SHANGHAI SIGHTSEEING & FLIGHT/TRAIN JOURNEY TO XIAN
Breakfast, sightseeing, and travel to Xian. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 07: XIAN SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Bell and Drum Tower, and the Muslim Bazaar. Optional: Tang Dynasty Show (extra cost). Dinner at a specialty restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 08: XIAN SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Shaanxi Historical Museum. Dinner at a specialty restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 09: FLIGHT TO XINING / TRANSFER TO HOTEL
Breakfast, flight to Xining, and transfer to the hotel. Free day for personal activities. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 10: XINING SIGHTSEEING & FREE TIME
Breakfast at the hotel. Half-day city sightseeing, then free time. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 11: TRAIN JOURNEY TO LHASA
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the train station for the journey to Lhasa. Overnight on the train.

DAY 12: ARRIVE LHASA & TRANSFER TO HOTEL
Arrive in Lhasa, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 13: LHASA CITY SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast, then visit the Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, and Norbulingka. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 14: LHASA CITY SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast, visit Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Tibetan Traditional Hospital, and Lhasa Carpet Factory. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 15: LHASA TO SHIGATSE VIA GYANTSE
Breakfast, drive to Gyatse and Shigatse, visiting Yamdrok Lake and Tashilhunpo Monastery. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 16: DRIVE TO RONBUK MONASTERY
Breakfast, drive to Ronbuk Monastery. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 17: DRIVE TO EBC / VISIT EBC & RETURN TO RONBUK MONASTERY
Breakfast, visit Everest Base Camp, and return to Ronbuk Monastery. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 18: DRIVE TO SAGA VIA OLD TINGRI
Breakfast, drive to Saga, enjoy views of Mt. Shishapama and Peikutso Lake. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 19: DRIVE TO MANSAROVAR
Breakfast, drive to Mansarovar, enjoy views of Mt. Kailash and Gurla Mandhata. Overnight at the lodge.

DAY 20: DRIVE TO DARCHEN
Breakfast, drive to Darchen, free day for exploration. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 21: DRIVE TO SERSONG/TARBOCH FLAG POLE & HOLY TREK TO DIRAPUK
Breakfast, drive to Tarboch Flag Pole and start the trek to Dirapuk. Overnight at the guesthouse.

DAY 22: HOLY TREK TO ZUTHULPUK
Trek to Zuthulpuk via Dikpala and Dormala. Overnight at the lodge.

DAY 23: HOLY TREK TO DARCHEN & DRIVE TO SAGA
Trek to Darchen and drive to Saga. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 24: DRIVE FROM SAGA TO SHIGATSE / KYRUNG
Drive to Shigatse or Kyrung. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 25: DRIVE FROM SHIGATSE TO LHASA / KYRUNG TO KATHMANDU
Drive to Lhasa or Nepal-China Border, then travel to Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 26: REST DAY IN LHASA OR KATHMANDU
Free day for rest or shopping. Farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Health Pre-caution:

• Oxygen is less at higher altitudes. The inclement weather and high altitude induce certain illnesses generally not encountered over the plains.
• Headache, nausea, lassitude, lethargy, breathlessness, general uneasiness (malaise), high irritability, light loss of balance, disorientation, incoherence, and insomnia are to name a few.
• It is common to all irrespective of age, sex, and physical fitness. Gradual acclimatization is the best answer.
• Tranquilizers, sleeping dosages, and strong antibiotics must be avoided. Some symptoms do indicate that the body mechanism is readjusting to a new environment.

Route & climatic conditions:

• Once the voyage commences, the panoramic Himalayas and Tibet cocoon the pilgrims in their effulgence and they drift beyond the reach of a conventional world.
• Deep silence and eerie expansiveness rule the atmosphere. A resourceful pilgrim, however, would enjoy his every step – planning is the key.
• The route from Kathmandu to Tatopani/ Rasuwagadi (Timure) (Nepal-China border) is narrow and scary but from the border onward roads are well maintained.
• The high-altitude Tibetan terrain is dry, cold, and windy. The night is colder than day. Torrential rains and strong icy winds are common features.
• The average altitude is above 3,500 meters and the route covers many high-altitude passes.

Risk and Liabilities

• We will endeavor to make your journey smooth and pleasant as far as possible. However, the entire program in Tibet is conducted strictly under the rules and regulations of the China Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB).
• Therefore, Fishtail Tours & Travel (P) Ltd. & its associated organizations will not be responsible for any changes in the itineraries due to unavoidable circumstances such as government restrictions, and delays in receiving Tibet Travel Permits and Visas due to TTB’s own rules and regulations.
• Any extra cost incurred shall be borne by travelers themselves.

Required Documents:

• Passport with a minimum of six months validity and two copies of passport-size photographs.
• A normal health certificate from your doctor for travelers aged 50 years and above may be required.
• Fitness: This is not a trek or expedition but a tour; therefore no specific level of fitness is required. Anybody can join this Yatra if they think they are fit and have strong willpower.
• People suffering from cardiac or respiratory problems should consult their doctor.
• Morning and evening walks, jogging, stretching, meditation, and regular exercises make the journey comfortable for all.

Food and Beverages:

• Delicious continental & Indian food will be served.
• Breakfasts and Dinners will be served at the campsite by trained Nepali staff.
• A packed lunch will be provided during the daytime.
• We will serve mineral water for drinking purposes.

Clothing and Necessities:

• As the temperature varies greatly between day and night (from max. 20 degrees Celsius to min. –16 degrees Celsius) one should prepare accordingly.
• However, we suggest all yatris travel lights – carry a maximum of 10 to 15 Kg per person.

Travelers should bring the following items

• Woolen gloves, Balaclava, Sun hat, Thermal wear, Water bottle, Woolen socks, Towel,
• Light Jacket, Sunglasses, Sunscreen,
• Torch with extra batteries/bulbs
• Muffler, Mask, Raincoat, Sweater, Shirt/T-shirt (2 sets) & Trekking shoes.

Insurance

• Full travel insurance covering medicine,
