Today is a big day for you in Glimpse of the Capital Tour as you finally get to kick-start your cultural discovery! We have a lot of sightseeing in store for you starting with Kathmandu, the nerve center of Nepal. It flaunts its rich history and vibrant culture in every possible nook and cranny. Kathmandu Durbar Square is rich with ancient palaces with spectacular art and architecture whereas Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest places for Hindus. We then make our way to the largest stupa in the world: Boudhanath Stupa followed by Swayambhunath Temple. Swayambhunath meaning “the self-existent” is popular among foreigners owing to the large monkey population residing in the area. No wonder why it’s also called “Monkey Temple”. Make sure you keep an eye out for these notorious creatures. Overnight in Kathmandu and conclude our second day of Glimpse of the Capital Tour.
DAY 03: DRIVE TO NAGARKOT|2175m| EN ROUTE BHAKTAPUR TOUR |The brick-laden walkways and intricately carved out temples| 29.9oC/3.2oC*|1hr|
After breakfast transfer to Nagarkot- a famous hill station, with an hour and a half drive offering views of the Nepalese countryside. En route, we have a chance to discover Bhaktapur, the City of Devotees. It is a UNESCO heritage site, an ancient city that has a rustic charm and is home to the larger population of “Newars” in the valley. The brick-laden walkways, and intricately carved out temples give you an insight of times gone by. Built in the 17th century, the Nyatapol Temple still stands strong today.
Peek at the 55 embellished windows, as the Golden Gate gives us access to the inner areas of the palace. The numerous pagoda-styled temples and monuments that dot the square, give a perfect example of the expressive and complex design of Nepalese architecture back in the ages of medieval times. We can grab a few locally produced handicrafts before we depart as memorabilia and gifts for our loved ones. Overnight in Nagarkot ends the third day of Glimpse of the Capital Tour.
DAY 04: DRIVE BACK TO KATHMANDU EN ROUTE KIRTIPUR TOUR |Newari town located on a hill southwest of Kathmandu |1hr|

Here we can discover the traditional lifestyle of the local Newar people of Kirtipur along with the rich cultural heritage it boasts.
We drive back to Kathmandu on our fourth day of the Glimpse of the Capital Tour.
