Pre-Arrival Briefing:

1) Passport and Voter ID are the only valid documents for air travel to Nepal.

2) Indian passport or Voter ID holders do not require a visa to enter Nepal.

3) There is a separate immigration desk for Indian passport holders.

 

Arrival in Nepal:

1) Nepal is 15 minutes ahead of Indian Standard Time.

2) Local SIM cards (Namaste & Ncell) are available at the airport after you collect your luggage, at nominal rates.

3) Currency exchange at the airport is available for USD and INR. The exchange rate for INR 100 is NPR 160. Please note that INR 500 notes are not accepted in Nepal.

4) Upon arrival, you will find our representative holding a sign with your group name at the arrival gate. Be prepared to walk to the parking area, as tourist vehicles are not permitted to stop directly at the gate.

 

During the Tour:

1) The traditional greeting in Nepal is “Namaste.”

2) Always remove your shoes before entering religious temples and places of worship.

3) The left hand is considered unclean, so always offer or accept food and money with your right hand.

4) Photography and the use of mobile phones are prohibited in most temples and museums.

5) Roads in Nepal, especially in Kathmandu, are often narrow and one-way. Vehicles cannot stop frequently, so it’s important to listen to your guide, be punctual, and gather at designated spots to board the coach.

6) Some sightseeing locations are a 300–600-meter walk from the parking area, so be prepared for some walking.

7) Carry sufficient cash, as some places may not accept credit cards.

8) Be mindful of your belongings, especially in crowded areas.

9) The weather in Kathmandu and Pokhara can be unpredictable, so carry an umbrella or poncho during your tour.

10) Always bargain when shopping in local markets.

11) Nepal is known for its handicrafts and woolen clothes, which make excellent souvenirs.
