Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa, (3650 m)

Day 02: Lhasa tour – Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street,

Day 03: Lhasa tour – Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery,

Day 04: Lhasa- Shigatse via Gyantse, 360 KM,

Day 05: Shigatse to Lhasa, 280 KM,

Day 06: Lhasa to Namtso, 220 KM,

Day 07: Namtso to Lhasa, 220 KM,

Day 08: Depart from Lhasa.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa, (3650 m),
Arive in Lhasa, our Tibetan guide will welcome you and drop to your hotel. On the way you may get chance to visit the Yarlung Tsangpo River/ Bhamaputra river (the Longest and largest river in Tibet) and Lhasa river. Rest and get acclimatized to high altitude. If you are good at health, visit the Potala Square, where you will enjoy the fountain with different colors and beautiful photos.
Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 02: Lhasa tour-Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street,
You day will start visiting Potala Palace which is the winter palace of the Dalai lama. It has got the history since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. Explore the valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
Visit Jokhang temple which was built by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. There is the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. We can see pilgrims making prostrating in Jokhang Temple. Make kora in Barkhor street and explore the old market.

Day 03: Lhasa tour-Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery,
Morning visit one of the “great three” Drepung monastery of Gelug monasteries of Tibet. It was founded by Jamyang choge in 1416, which is one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. Visit the biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and explore around the Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.
Afternoon visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries. The main attraction are the Monks debate at around 3-5 AM. Tibetan religious scripture printing house, and you can see three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha inside the monastery.

Day 04: Lhasa- Shigatse via Gyantse, 360 KM,
We will take a drive to Shigatse. While driving we will pass by Gampa-La Pass (4790 m). We may get chance to see the beautiful Yamdrok-Tso (4400 m) which is covered by snow-capped mountains. Far away we will see Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar (7191 m), the highest mountain near Lhasa.
Ia addition, we will take pleasure exploring Koro-La Glacier near Manak Dam Lake. We will reach Gyantse, the historically Tibet's third largest city and visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum. It will take one and half hour diriving from Gyantse to Shigatse. At Shigatse, we visit traditional Barley Mill and view the landscape of Barley Field (best view in summer).

Day 05: Shigatse to Lhasa, 280 KM,
We start our day by visiting the home of Panchan Lama-Tashilunpo Monastery. While visiting Tashilunpo Monastery we will see the well preserved largest statue of Jampa (future god). The monastery itself is abiding place for the successive Penchen Lamas.
After Tashilunpo Monastery our journey follow Yalong Valley and then back to Lhasa.
Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 06: Lhasa to Namtso, 220 KM,
Our hourney begins from Lhasa to Namtso on drive. On the way our trip more interesting to see Nyenchen Tanggula Mountain Range and Nomads in flourishing grassland (in Summer). The amazing view of Sky-Road Railway with snow mountain background would nurish our trip. Then we will come across the Lagen-La Mountain Pass (5190 m), from where we see Namtso Lake above.
After we come in Namtso Lake, We will make small trek around Tashi Island and enjoy sunset view from the lake.
Stay overnight near Namtso Lake.

Day 07: Namtso to Lhasa, 220 KM,
Early bird catches the worm, so we will see the stunning sunrise view of the Namtso Lake. Then we will head back to Lhasa. We will pass by the Yangpachen Hot Spring. Arrive in Lhasa and hotel overnight.
Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 08: Depart from Lhasa,
After farewell bid, we will drop you at International Airport or train station for your further journey.
