Nature At Its Best

Bhutan, or Druk Yul (“Drakens land”, as the Bhutanese itself calls it) has been a small kingdom since 1907, located in the eastern part of the Himalayas.
Bhutanese society is largely characterized by the Buddhist religion, which is strong and alive.

In the southern part of the country, against the Assam plain, immigrants dominate Nepal and India, mainly Hindus. The nature of the Bhutanese landscape with high altitude differences from south to north, and with valleys isolated from each other, makes the linguistic displacement significant with many regional languages and dialects. In the south, Nepali is often spoken, an Indo-European language.
